Abstract
Myanmar is made up of different ethnic groups and different religions. But despite these many differences, we have the same feeling of hope. Liberation from oppression is central to the teaching of each religion. The teaching of Buddha and the teaching of Jesus Christ both lead us to liberation. Based on these teachings, we live together for the betterment of our community. Both Buddhists and Christians need to do inter- religious dialogue. Engaged Buddhism and liberation theology need to learn from each other and engage in praxis together in order to construct a liberative engaged theology in Myanmar context.
