Résumé
This study was conducted to determine the different teaching methods used by the teachers of the Department of Languages, Mass Communications, and Humanities of Central Philippine University and the preferred teaching methods of AB English students. In gathering necessary data, this investigation used the Teaching Methods Questionnaire. Thirty-two AB English students from first year to fourth year were drawn together. The objective is to determine the teaching method used by the DLMCH teachers and discuss them. The statistical tools used were the mean of the teaching method often used by DLMCH teachers and frequency to determine the rank of each teaching method used, and to determine the most preferred teaching method of AB English students. The findings in this study revealed that DLMCH teachers always used teaching methods that improve writing and speaking skills, and AB English students preferred the teaching method that has a different set o f activities while learning the activity on their own.
