Central Philippine University transportation traffic and parking management system

Abstract

The proposed study utilizes Central Philippine University campus to develop a prototype of real-time traffic & parking monitoring and management system. The project uses Electronic Boards that would display traffic advisory for motorists, display actual scene of traffic thru Video Capture, minimize and organize traffic flow thru Traffic Lights and easy monitoring of vacant and occupied parking areas within CPU campus by utilizing the Badge Slot/Swipe device. Subsequently, recommendations were proposed to enhance the operations of the parking facilities. Finally, a real-time monitoring system will be integrated through Electronic Board that display traffic status to the general public, in an attempt to reduce traffic congestion on campus during regular operations and during special events.
