Computer-based application and web-based application are being used in many businesses because of a lot of advantages. The A. Porras Billing and Booking system is an example of web-based application and at the same time computer-based application which cater the booking process both on-line and off-line. Through the web-based application, A. Porras Memorial Chapel can serve clients who are outside the city. Clients can go to the web site of A. Porras Memorial Chapel to transact booking. After following the processes they will be given verification code which is needed for approval process which is done personally. It also handles booking transactions offline for walk-in clients. Since Security is vital part of the system, there are only two main users, the administrator and the moderator who needs to log in to access the system. These two users have their own unique username and password. The system also handles the billing process and also generates temporary bill for on-line clients. It can also accurately generate billing statement and also generates reports. The system also has a search feature for easy retrieval of record using Linear Search Algorithm. It caters the inventory of materials efficiently where in the user would easily manage and keep track the ins and outs of materials. It helps the user in easy and fast retrieval of availability of chapel schedule, materials, burial schedule and service rates both on-line and off-line.
