This study was conducted to explore the extent that knowledge may bear on attitude regarding plagiarism among 166 graduate students in a private college in Roxas City, Capiz. This is a descriptive-correlational research conducted from September to October, 2015. Data were obtained through a self-administered questionnaire. Majority of the respondents were female, holders of a master’s degree, and some were still pursuing graduate education. Most of them were in 45 years old or younger. Every semester, the respondents were required to submit a three reports and a big group of students were in their completing units in master and doctoral studies. Majority of the respondents had high level of basic understanding about plagiarism. There were able to correctly describe what plagiarism is. However, they were not able to identify the plagiarism acts and practices, the majorities were aware of the sanctions against plagiarism, and they were also aware about the proper documentary citation and acknowledgements, with regard to their attitudes toward plagiarism, the majority of the respondents had proper attitudes, only few demonstrated improper attitudes. Based on the findings and conclusions, the following are suggested: Even if the respondents had manifested high level of understanding of plagiarism, it is still necessary for them to improve their knowledge and understanding regarding plagiarism acts and practices and about standard form style of citation and referencing. There is also a need for reorientation on honesty, diligence, fairness and academic integrity among themselves. There is also a need to introduce more information about the various aspects of plagiarism and the sanctions imposed to those who commit it. To improve attitudes toward plagiarism, there should be proper interventions to address this concern. A clear policy on prevention, monitoring and corrective measures should be formulated and implemented.en_US
