Abstract
The purpose of this study is design and to develop a Taekwondo Tournament Matching System using Gale-Shapley algorithm. The system covers the announcements, account management, payment monitoring, tournament registration, matching and reports.
The system would bring benefit to the serving officials, the association and in the flow of a tournament. The account management can create account for the administrator or the coaches. The payment monitoring can monitor the payment of a coach. The tournament management is where the coaches registers their players by filling up a form provided by the system. The matching system can automatically pair the players by just listing down their name and category and will be paired using Gale-Shapley algorithm. The reports can generate detailed report for monthly, yearly or details of a specific tournament. The system reduces the workload of the officials. The system greatly reduces the time in registering, weighing, and pairing where the time consumed during a tournament is mostly used and will speed up the flow of a tournament.
The system eases most of the work of tournament officials, the coaches and the players. The system can be an alternative to the current manual system since it will aid the officials in matching, profiling and storing all the recorded documents in a tournament that are made from the past years to the present.
The system is sought to accommodate and solve the needs of the association.
