<title>An analysis of presidential candidates’ Facebook posts during the 2022 Philippine National Election</title>

<description>An analysis of presidential candidates’ Facebook posts during the 2022 Philippine National Election
Palcullo, Vince Ervin V.
The 2022 Philippine National Election witnessed a significant shift in political communications and campaigning strategies due to the utilization of Facebook. Utilizing the Facebook posts of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo during the election period, this study conducted a quantitative research approach employing content analysis to explore the candidates' use of the platform, including the prevalent themes, types of media employed, frequency of posting, and the level of engagement through comments, shares, and reactions. Results of this study showed that Robredo posted more than Marcos, yet both candidates posted majorly proliferated posts focusing on "Election Campaigns and Political Advertisements." The prevailing media formats used by both candidates are a combination of text and photos, aligning with digital literacy, especially in creating and communicating digital content through multimedia. Marcos introduced vlogs with text, and Robredo experimented with Text, Photos, Video, and Links. As the election date drew closer, both candidates intensified their Facebook posting activities, with Robredo maintaining a high posting frequency, surpassing Marcos in this regard. However, Marcos achieved greater user engagement, primarily attributable to disparities in their respective followership sizes. User engagement predominantly manifested as reactions, with distinct patterns observed in the frequency of comments and shares between the two candidates.

<title>A descriptive inventory of the World War II records and related documents of the Guerrilla Movement in Panay Island, 1942-1945, at the Central Philippine University Library</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12852/2967</link>
<description>A descriptive inventory of the World War II records and related documents of the Guerrilla Movement in Panay Island, 1942-1945, at the Central Philippine University Library
Gabawa, Victory D.
The 217-volume Panay Guerrilla Documents (PGD) are mostly textual  records of both the "Free Panay Forces" and the "Free Government of Panay" which worked cooperatively during the resistance movement against the Japanese Occupation on Panay Island and the neighboring islands in 1942 to 1945. &#13;
&#13;
Attempts to provide an index to the vast number of documents were undertaken after these were organized and bound according to provenance. Unfortunately, only volumes 1 to 50 were completely indexed. The lack of a comprehensive finding aid, however, still presents a retrieval problem; thus the researcher preferred to make the descriptive inventory not because continuation of the previous index would take considerable time to complete, but because by archival principles this inventory would conform to the immediate need for comprehensive information on the physical and substantive attributes of the documents. The objectives of the work are: (1) to provide the basic tool necessary in the management and administration of the guerrilla documents and in facilitating research and reference work to these historical materials; (2) to seek a solution towards the improvement of the current situation; and (3) to project the people who played significant roles in the Panay Guerrilla Movement from 1942 to 1945 through this finding aid. It primarily aims to (1) make known to the potential users the general perspective of Panay Guerrilla Documents, and (2) serve as a guide to the archivist-librarian in servicing the researcher. &#13;
&#13;
In two sections, the inventory provides a (1) description of the series, and ( 2 ) volume by volume description. The devised record series is based on the record types arranged alphabetically by series title, except for the "General Correspondence" and the "General Miscellany" series which are respectively placed at the beginning and end of the series description.&#13;
&#13;
Primarily, Section A of the inventory consists of the (a) title line, which gives information about a record series: its record type, in general or specific terms, inclusive dates and the number of volumes and quantity in terms of measurement of space occupied by the documents on shelves; and (b) descriptive paragraphs in which the attributes of the series are enumerated. Section B of the inventory provides a consecutive volume by volume description. Similarly, it is provided with the (a) title line, specifying the record series to which the volume belongs, (b) provenance, either by the name of the administrative unit or the particular military or civil officials responsible for creating it, (c) inclusive dates during which the documents were produced indicating the "bulk" dates (when most of the documents were produced), (d) quantity or number of items, leaves or pages, (e) method of reproduction, and the (f) arrangement of documents within the volume indicated by CA, CMII, A/Z, A/Zmi and NDA. &#13;
&#13;
The descriptive paragraphs follow a similar pattern of the series description, however, more specific analytical information is added in terms of the activity or transaction which resulted in its production or the main subject to which it relates. Information as to the principal correspondents is included and an index is provided with indication of the volumes wherein these correspondents are found.

<title>A bio-bibliography of selected Panayanon writers</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12852/1509</link>
<description>A bio-bibliography of selected Panayanon writers
Lahaylahay, Vipa F.
Inadequate bibliographic materials is one of the problems that confront the present Philippine libraries. Bibliographic materials are indispensable tools of researchers, professors, scholars, and students. With these tools they can be guided to the knowledge of the existence of rich literary works of the past and of the present: a heritage that must be preserved for posterity.&#13;
The compilation of this bio-bibliographic study on selected Panayanon writers was started in 1971 and completed November, 1976.&#13;
Statement of the Problem&#13;
The researcher who wishes to work on Panayanon literature finds it difficult to know what materials are available for lack of bibliographies. Panayanon writers are numerous and their works have been published in books, pamphlets, and periodical literature. Some published materials of major writers are listed in the Union Catalog of Philippine Materials, Filipiniana 1968, Classified List of Filipiniana Holdings of the Ayala y Compania Library, and other general Philippine bibliographies but the great bulk of the works that existed in the past and in the present times are not included in these bibliographies and are still unknown to the country and to the world. No bibliography has been done on Panayanon writers so far and since many of the writers are not known, there is a need to include biographical data of each author.&#13;
Purpose of the Study&#13;
The purpose of this study is to provide a biobibliography of selected Panayanon writers. A short biographical sketch will introduce the writers as well as provide a background to the works listed in this study The writer has attempted to include annotations of prominent works of some of the authors.
