This study was conducted to estimate the potential number of clients of CPU Kindergarten at Aganan, Pavia, Iloilo and to determine how many are interested to enroll. This study is purely descriptive and utilized the one-shot survey design. Data collection was done through face-to-face interview with the household heads using the interview schedule. Frequency distribution and means were generated and results were presented using frequency distribution table.  Results showed that the majority of potential clients have an average, there are 4.6 family members, and the majority of the household heads are gainfully working. The average monthly gross family income of potential clients is P26,164.06 while the average net monthly income of the family amounted to P14,280.00. More than one-third of the household heads of potential clients are alumni and nearly three-fourths have relatives who are alumni of the University. Three-fourths of the clients have one pre-school age children and one-fifth have two pre-school age children. Sixty out of 77 household heads reported that their children are currently enrolled in pre-school. Fifty-seven out of 77 potential clients are interested to enroll their children. When asked of the reason why they are interested to enroll, more than half answered that it is accessible. Those who indicated they are not interested to enroll their children shared that it is due to financial reasons. Only 38 of the 57 interested potential clients can afford the current rate of tuition and fees. When these 38 were asked on the term of payment most convenient to them, the majority indicated that monthly payment is fine. The 19 respondents who indicated that they cannot afford the current tuition and fee suggested an annual tuition and fee of P6,625.00 only.

This study was conducted to determine the level of satisfaction of the faculty members of Central Philippine University for the school year 2011-2012. It sought relationships that exist between level of satisfaction and personal characteristics such as age, religion, educational attainment, undergraduate course, length of service and basic monthly income. It also compared satisfaction level of faculty according to sex and civil status and determined whether there is significant difference in the satisfaction level of faculty for school years 2007-2008 and 2011-2012. The samples of this descriptive-relational one-shot survey consisted of one hundred ninety-eight (198) randomly selected faculty from different colleges / departments of the University. Results revealed that faculty members were “satisfied “with all the services rendered by the University. Also, faculty members were “satisfied’ with all the benefits classified as “pay for time not worked” and the services rendered to them by the different units in the University. Level of satisfaction is not significantly related with age, religion, educational attainment, basic monthly income and length of service while it is significantly related with undergraduate course. There is also no significant difference in the satisfaction level of faculty when they are classified according to sex and civil status. Moreover, there is a significant increase in the satisfaction level of faculty from school year 2007-2008 to school year 2011-2012.

The purpose of the study is to assess the effectiveness of Small Group Counseling as intervention to disruptive pupils referred to the guidance office for counseling. To achieve this, the pretest and posttest of the experimental and control group was obtained and compared. The subjects of the study were the twenty referred pupils for counseling from Grade IV, V, and VI of Central Philippine University Elementary School for the School Year 2008 - 2009. The twenty referred pupils were randomly assigned into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Ten pupils composed each group. Pupils assigned in the experimental group were further divided into small groups composed of three to four members. These small groups met regularly for six sessions, which served as the intervention of the study. The instrument used to measure pupils’ disruptive behavior is the Vanderbilt ADHD Rating Scale - Teacher form, a standardized instrument that has been used in several studies to measure children’s disruptive. Six teachers rated each of the subjects of the study for their pretest and posttest of both the experimental and control group. The frequency count, mean, and standard deviation were used as descriptive statistics. The t-test was used to determine whether there is significant difference between the experimental group and control group's pretest and posttest ratings. All statistical computations were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software with the level of significance set at .05 alpha. Using the t-test, result showed that there is a significant difference in the pretest scores of the experimental and control group in both Inattention and Hyperactive/Impulsive dimensions. This means that pupils in the experimental group are significantly disruptive compared to those in the control group. There is no significant difference in the pretest and posttest mean scores of the experimental group as a whole in both Inattention and Hyperactive/Impulsive dimensions, which imply that there is no significant change in pupils’ behavior before and after they have participated in small group counseling. There is no significant difference in the pretest and posttest mean scores of the control group as a whole in both Inattention and Hyperactive/Impulsive dimensions. This means that their pretest and posttest behavior remained the same before and after intervention was given to children in the experimental group.

This study aimed to determine the psychosocial contributions of microfinancing to the women clients of Taytay Sa Kauswagan, Inc. (TSKI) in the Province of Iloilo. Simple descriptive and relational research design and utilized quantitative approaches to determine the inputs of TSKI-PKK and its contributions in improving client’s psychosocial conditions. An interview schedule was prepared and used to gather quantitative data. Respondents of the survey were 358 sample women program beneficiaries of the TSKI-PKK program in the Province of Iloilo who have participated in the program for at least three cycles. A statistically significant increase in the extent of clients’ participation in decision-making and in community activities after program participation was noted. This indicates that program participation has improved the clients’ level of empowerment. A statistically significant increase in the extent of clients’ emotional and social growth and in the practice of Christian values was also observed after program participation. This finding indicates that the clients’ attitude and values have improved after program membership. The transformational activities conducted by TSKI and the active participation of the clients’ in different TSKI-PKK activities have resulted to an improvement in the clients’ level of empowerment and an improvement in the clients’ attitudes and values.
