<title>Medical laboratory information and billing system (MLI&amp;BS)</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12852/2397</link>
<description>Medical laboratory information and billing system (MLI&amp;BS)
Bagaloyos, Rodolph S.; Barbon, Patrick Henry D.; Hilapad, Christian John C.; Suño, Paul Kenneth A.
These days, technology is involved in mostly everything we do. Most manual transactions are converted into computerized transactions by the use of computers and its tools. The use of these technologies has greatly helped us in our daily transactions.&#13;
&#13;
Medical Laboratory Information &amp; Billing System is designed to help laboratory transactions become easier and faster. This study aims to develop a software application that will transform the manual operations of the company into a computerized one, store data and transfer it from branch to branch, compute for billing and generate reports for Healthlink (Iloilo) Incorporated. It will also provide security for stored data and a user friendly interface.&#13;
&#13;
The study was done at Healthlink (Iloilo) Incorporated, which is the main focus of the study. The researchers made questionnaires and recorded every interview related to the study.&#13;
&#13;
After gathering all the data that they could, the researchers brainstormed and decided on what to do with the current manual system of the company and its problems.&#13;
&#13;
To solve the manual system of Healthlink (Iloilo) Incorporated, the researchers have come up with a solution to create Medical Laboratory Information and Billing System.

<title>CPU Cyber Library monitoring system</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12852/2396</link>
<description>CPU Cyber Library monitoring system
Agtoto, Nelwen M.; Eufan, Lovely Arvic M.; Hiponia, Charmaine Mae B.; Rolando, Virginia B.; Tinambunan, Von Bon C.
Cyber Library is one of the services in CPU Henry Luce III Library which offer internet, printing, and encoding. It was introduce to CPU student in 1999 and all operations are performed manually, which supervised by Mr. Rodel Dianala. The fact that it is being associated as “Cyber Library” and yet they still to manage manual operating procedures such as in logging in/out of the student, payment transactions and generation of statistical reports. Even though these manual operations are dependable, yet still cannot avoid manual errors. This may result imprecise in monitoring report and unsecured records.&#13;
&#13;
In addition information for the design and concept of the system, we reviewed the related software to guide us in terms of conceiving the solution for the recognized problem. The following related topics are: RISC technology, Cyber Cafe Pro and Cyber Monitor.&#13;
&#13;
In establishing the system for Cyber Library, Modified Dynamic System, Development Method was used. The model was chosen to enable us to perform iteration procedures in Project Life Cycle by changing the function and interface of the system regarding to our client and user feedback.&#13;
&#13;
In developing the system, the group made use the Microsoft SQL Server 2003 as the database back end and Microsoft FoxPro 9.0 for the front end.&#13;
&#13;
Generally, the system objective is to develop computerized Cyber Library Monitoring System for CPU Henry Luce III Cyber Library that could facilitates accurate record, reliable reports and eliminate manual operating procedures. The group concludes that the system has efficiently solved the problem in manual operations. The main feature of the system was to have a centralized monitoring, precise recording for student information, secured storage of data and reliable report generation. The group also recommends a reader device for flexible operation module and enhancement of user interface which includes the student image in viewing and logging in the system.

<title>Computerized restaurant sales and stock monitoring system</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12852/2395</link>
<description>Computerized restaurant sales and stock monitoring system
Chicano, Andrian A.; Huervana, Edgar G.
Food business is probably the most competitive and challenging industry. Beside food quality and environment, customer’s satisfaction on dining experience become an essential factor in creating customer’s loyalty and company image. In a small restaurant operation, the owner or the manager will be able to control the quality of food, processing time and operations easier in order to create good customer’s dining experience, but when business grows bigger, the owner or the manager will face difficulties to control the entire operations and at the same time maintain the customer’s satisfaction.&#13;
&#13;
The purpose of this study is to determine and give solution to the problems encountered by the selected specialty restaurant in Iloilo City which uses the manual system. This study also sought to answer the following questions 1) What are the advantages using the POS System in the restaurant business? 2) Why stock monitoring important to the restaurant operations?&#13;
&#13;
As we have conducted an interview to the owner and managers of the selected specialty restaurant and studied their present system we have observed that the manual billing and unmonitored stocks are the basic problems they encounter in their day to day operations, so we design a system that will give solution to these problems, a system that can provide security and privacy of each data encoded. A computerized POS and Stock Monitoring System that can easily adapt to the changing business environment, help to manage and grow sales while delivering good service and most importantly will improve the entire operation.

<title>E-Kid (Eye-control my kid system)</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12852/2394</link>
<description>E-Kid (Eye-control my kid system)
Pelango, Angela L.; Catindig, Precious Grace P.; Belza, Jebbe L.
The rapid technological development is a significant factor that improves man’s awareness in its environment. For instance, the internet offers a lot of information in just one click. It is essential in terms of business, medicine, engineering, and other industries. But like other creations, if not used judiciously, it could lead to distractions. Technology today has been hazardous for children.&#13;
&#13;
The developers of this study constructed the system with a general objective: to develop Eye-Control My Kid system- a mobile parental control system that will help parents in monitoring a child’s activity over the computer and be able to control all sites accessed by the child when the parents are away. Specifically, this study aims to help parents monitor the proper use of computer, access to web sites and applications by their children using a mobile phone, limit the playing time of children with computer games by setting the systems access time, and limit access to malicious, filthy, and undesirable information in the web through the request permission of the system.&#13;
&#13;
The developers used the Iterative Model. It is a rework-scheduling strategy in which time is set aside to revise and improve the parts of the system. E-Kid needs to be updated and be maintained for there will always be new sites to be blocked and applications to be limited.&#13;
&#13;
As the developers, we recommend that the user at least reach the minimum requirements needed for software and hardware specifications for best result.
