A 70 item pretest posttest was given to students to determine their level of performance in the course. Before and after the intervention phase in class, results revealed that students’ level of motivation and engagement in both groups, the lecture-discussion and Quizizz were very highly motivated and engaged in studying and participating in the course. In addition, students’ level of performance in both groups was average. Findings revealed to have no significant difference in the level of motivation and level of engagement between students in both groups. Results showed to have significant difference in the students’ level of performance between two groups. The results of this study proves that Quizizz is effective to be used as a teaching method and assessment tool in Panitikang Pilipino because it improves the performance of students in this course. This study also recommends the use of Quizizz in teaching Filipino literature course and also other courses in any type of learning modalities.

Development of a special course in Komunikasyong at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Pilipino (KPWKP) for foreign students
Mino, Nenita T.
This is a developmental research study that used the Input-Output model (IPO) with the purpose to develop a Special Course in Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Pilipino (KPWKP) for Foreign Students. The primary inputs of the study involved the experiences of eight (8) teachers handling Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Pilipino and eight (8) foreign students in one of the private universities and other schools in Iloilo City. An in-depth interview was conducted using an interview guide. A thematic analysis was done to determine the experiences and challenges of the teachers teaching the subject and also for foreign students to determine their experiences and challenges in learning the subject. A validation instrument was used to validate the developed module using the face and content validity by the pool of experts. Findings of the study revealed that the existing syllabus, curriculum guide and learning plans in KPWKP are not suited to the needs of foreign students. Moreover teachers and students alike found it hard to teach and learn KPWKP specifically in the area of translation primarily due to lack of instructional materials. The module consists of the following parts: The preliminary pages, objectives, content; let's begin, let’s find out, let’s try, let’s apply and the references. Particularly, the Contents section of the module explains the lesson to be discussed where the 4 A’s (Analysis, Abstraction, Application, and Assessment) are applied. Each lesson is presented clearly, meaningfully, and with specific examples for the students to understand. The module was found by the experts to have a very high acceptability level with regard to physical aspect, objectives, content, activities, and assessment. It was also found to be very important and timely for the use of teachers teaching foreign students and also foreign students coming from different parts of the world and found to be very useful in terms of learning Filipino language.

The effect of discipline-based art education on the aesthetic appreciation ability and art attitude among art design majors in a university in China
Zou, Min
Discipline based art education (DBAE) is an educational concept representing the general trend of visual art education in contemporary American schools. This study used embedded experimental intervention design to determine the effect of the visual art appreciation education based on DBAE on aesthetic appreciation ability and art attitude of students of a selected university in China for Academic Year 2021-2022. This study collected quantitative and qualitative data, including questionnaires, teaching observation forms, and focus group interviews. The data were used to address two null hypotheses and six research objectives. Through this research, it was found that the visual art appreciation education activity based on DBAE can significantly improve students' aesthetic appreciation ability. Although the students' art attitude has improved before and after the experimental teaching, it has not reached a statistically significant difference. Students have a positive attitude towards the visual art appreciation course based on DBAE, have a good experience, and highly recognize the course. They are full of expectations for future visual art courses.
