Food business is probably the most competitive and challenging industry. Beside food quality and environment, customer’s satisfaction on dining experience become an essential factor in creating customer’s loyalty and company image. In a small restaurant operation, the owner or the manager will be able to control the quality of food, processing time and operations easier in order to create good customer’s dining experience, but when business grows bigger, the owner or the manager will face difficulties to control the entire operations and at the same time maintain the customer’s satisfaction.

The purpose of this study is to determine and give solution to the problems encountered by the selected specialty restaurant in Iloilo City which uses the manual system. This study also sought to answer the following questions 1) What are the advantages using the POS System in the restaurant business? 2) Why stock monitoring important to the restaurant operations?

As we have conducted an interview to the owner and managers of the selected specialty restaurant and studied their present system we have observed that the manual billing and unmonitored stocks are the basic problems they encounter in their day to day operations, so we design a system that will give solution to these problems, a system that can provide security and privacy of each data encoded. A computerized POS and Stock Monitoring System that can easily adapt to the changing business environment, help to manage and grow sales while delivering good service and most importantly will improve the entire operation.

The rapid technological development is a significant factor that improves man’s awareness in its environment. For instance, the internet offers a lot of information in just one click. It is essential in terms of business, medicine, engineering, and other industries. But like other creations, if not used judiciously, it could lead to distractions. Technology today has been hazardous for children.

The developers of this study constructed the system with a general objective: to develop Eye-Control My Kid system- a mobile parental control system that will help parents in monitoring a child’s activity over the computer and be able to control all sites accessed by the child when the parents are away. Specifically, this study aims to help parents monitor the proper use of computer, access to web sites and applications by their children using a mobile phone, limit the playing time of children with computer games by setting the systems access time, and limit access to malicious, filthy, and undesirable information in the web through the request permission of the system.

The developers used the Iterative Model. It is a rework-scheduling strategy in which time is set aside to revise and improve the parts of the system. E-Kid needs to be updated and be maintained for there will always be new sites to be blocked and applications to be limited.

As the developers, we recommend that the user at least reach the minimum requirements needed for software and hardware specifications for best result.

The rapid development of technology leads to the improvement of every basic computerized system that may found in every establishment or organization. Like in deaf communities, Sign Language serves as their primary means of communication. This proposed system; The Basic Sign Language Comprehension System is intended for hearing impaired people to provide a means of learning basic sign language in order for them to improve their communication skills. This will be a great help for them in order to learn things in a normal way possible with the aid of the modern technologies and facilities mainly with the aid of computer. The system is also deliverable to interested normal individuals that include parents of deaf people, teachers who want to use the system as one of their tools in teaching deaf people and to other normal individual interested in learning sign language.

The system is developed in a way that it can be used by every person with or without the assistance of a sign language instructor because it provides system instructions and user’s manual. It can be easily obtained, understood and followed. It also provides dependable result in sign languages tests and evaluations and feature graphical images and animated finger spelling and sign language.

This study will benefit the deaf people who were deprived of basic education due to hearing disability. The system will provide a good start in developing the interpersonal communication of the physically impaired individual.

The purpose of the study was to develop a computerized evaluation of student’s academic performance for Software Engineering and Computer Science Department known as the Student Academic Performance and Evaluation System or SAPE.

In order to lessen manual errors in computation and fasten the processing of students report, the study aims developed a system that will accurately compute and generate reports for dean’s list, candidates for honors, and for the retention policy in fraction of time.

This study mainly focuses on the monitoring of dropped-out students, evaluation of students for honors and awards, dean’s list and basis of retention policy intended for Software Engineering and Computer Science Department.

The study will help to organize student’s data, provide easy access and locate desired information in a short period of time. Students can obtain accurate academic records and respective users can generate reports immediately.

The study was done using the phases of System Development Life Cycle such as identifying problems and objectives, data gathering, analyzing system needs, designing the system and developing and documenting software. Also, the study uses a dataflow diagram that elaborates the steps in processing the data in the system. It uses a graphical symbol for better understanding on how the system works.

Various theories and concept were applied in developing the system such as the concept of data pump, data warehousing, data cleansing, extracting and data scrubbing.

The development tool or application software used in developing the system was Delphi 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 was used for constructing the database.

SAPE system was designed in a stand-alone setup. It can access information from the University Computer Services Center (UCSC) by means of a diskette as its medium storage to transfer the data coming from UCSC to be used in the system.

Through the computerization of student information, it will help organize student’s data, provide easy access and locate desired information quickly.
