Lou, Yuxiao
This study used the descriptive-correlational research design to investigate the relationship of the utilization of online learning platform and online learning engagement to the English proficiency among non-English major students in a university in China for the school year 2021-2022 as inputs to an enhanced curriculum for an online College English course. The data of 189 non-English major freshmen in one university of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province were collected through the researcher-made questionnaires and the national College English test band 4. The data analysis via SPSS displayed that the English proficiency of 189 respondents is in the degree of “Outstanding”. It was discovered that the respondents’ utilization of online learning platform and their online learning engagement have a significant relationship with their English proficiency. Additionally, the 189 respondents’ utilization of online learning platform and their online learning engagement also have the significant relationship, which implies that respondents’ utilization of the online learning platform has a relationship with their English proficiency through their autonomous learning, collaborative learning, and interactive learning. Those findings and conclusions inspired the researcher to put forward the proper construction of online learning resources, effective management of online learning behaviors, and accurate evaluation of online learning processes, which are necessary for an enhanced curriculum for online College English course in China.

<summary type="text">The evolution and operation of the internationalization programs of two case universities in Asia
Yap-Zerrudo, Anna May
This qualitative case study aimed to examine and understand the evolution and operation of internationalization programs of two case universities in Asia. Using the multiple case study design with multiple units of analysis, results of the study were drawn from interviews, documents, and internet resources. For the case university in the Philippines (UHP), internationalization was used as a platform in forging partnerships with foreign universities although differences in cultural orientation and religious beliefs were present. Internationalization resulted in more opportunities for UHP’s academic growth. Cultural evolution explained the cultural aspect in the operation of internationalization of UHP. Assumptions surrounding symbolic interactionism revealed that the Christian orientation and strong alumni relations were the unique symbols of UHP. For the case university in Taiwan (UST), the societal development in the country due to low birth rate resulted in enrolment decline, thus it became UST’s reason for pursuing internationalization. Also, UST’s internationalization is dictated by political factors due to the political tension between Taiwan and mainland China. From the results of the study, a Hybrid Model of the Dynamic Requisites for Internationalization was developed showing the three main requisites that must be present in order for internationalization to be successful. These requisites are governmental, institutional and partnership that will result to tangible and intangible outcomes of internationalization.

This research aims to assess spiritual intelligence of selected administrators of the Christian colleges in Yangon, Myanmar and Panay Island, Philippines. Specifically, this research aims to: describe selected demographic characteristics of Christian administrators in terms of sex, age, education, religious affiliation, ethnic origin, and length of service; describe the Christian administrators in term of attendance in religious related training, and church or religious involvement; determine administrator’s level of spiritual intelligence in term of self-awareness, universal awareness, self-mastery, and spiritual presence; determine whether attendance in religious related training and involvement in religious activities of Christian administrators vary according to gender, age, education, ethnic, religion and length of service; determine whether the Christian administrator’s specific and over-all level of spiritual intelligence significantly vary according to their characteristics; determine whether attendance in religious related training, and religious involvement is significantly related to spiritual intelligence of administrators; determine whether the number of attendance in religious related training and number of involvement in religious activities are significantly related to spiritual intelligence of Christian administrators; determine relationship between Self Awareness and Universal Awareness, Self-Mastery and Spiritual Presence; Universal Awareness and Spiritual Presence, Spiritual presence and Self Mastery; determine to what extent do the administrators’ characteristics, attendance of religious related training, and church or religious involvement individually or collectively predict Spiritual Intelligence; and determine which of the factors (religious training and religious involvement) most strongly predict Spiritual Intelligence.

<summary type="text">Development and evaluation of modules for senior high school physics teachers
Gerada, Edgardo P.
The purpose of this study was to design, develop and evaluate instructional modules for Senior High School Physics teachers. ADDIE Model was used as the developmental design. This study included 34 Senior High School physics teachers from the 20 schools (DepEd Public Schools, Private Schools, Colleges and Universities and State Colleges and Universities) in the City and Province of Iloilo. A duly validated and reliability-tested researcher-made questionnaire was utilized to gather data needed for the study. Assessments on the level of readiness revealed that Senior High School physics teachers have low level of readiness in Electricity and Magnetism, and Modern Physics. Findings also revealed that Senior High School physics teachers have low extent of coverage of the learning competencies in Physics as required by the Department of Education. Results also showed that the Senior High School physics teachers were mostly master’s degree graduate of other fields not of physics program, teaching physics for less than 5 years, and have not attended any of Physics-related seminars. The modules were found to be excellent by both the Experts and Physics teachers in terms of the objectives, content, format and language, presentation, and usefulness. They showed high potential in terms of its usage and effective instructional materials in improving the quality of instruction and in improving students’ performances in Physics.
